St. John Escape I had an awesome getaway to St. John island the last week. Boy was it really truly awesome. To be back to kampung-like life is like a breathe of fresh air. Rejuvenates the lungs and blood flow get extra edgy! There has been a lot of change since I first stepped there, and that was close to a decade ago. Prolly 8 9 years. But yes, many changes. The island is now connected to yet another island called Lazarus Island, via a bridge and Lazarus Island is connected to Pulau Seringat. Well, that was what I read. 9 years ago, St John was standing alone. Andi and I, back then was the only one walking thru the forest looking for god knows what. As the years passed, plenty come and goes. And the prominent one who came were myself and Ummar. Ahuh, that tall lanky dude who simply do not know when to shut up. Hahaha! Most of us, would be sitting at this big bench by the sea, just enjoying the night air. It is very fresh and COLD! You need a jacket that is for sure. The old residence of St. John island do comes back once in a while during long weekends maybe, to just relax I guess? I have the honor of seeing them hurling back catches which looks awesomely deliciously. Stingrays, to crabs of different size, varieties of fish. Simply amazing. But best part of it all? CATS! There were simply plenty of them running around. And these are stray cats mind you. They don't have grooming centre like we have here on mainland. But yet these cats looks like they are so clean, neatly and friendly! Yet they live in the wild. The way they come up to us, is really for me, heartwarming. Very cute, adorable and for Ummar case, disturbing! Why? Cause we witness cats in heat! I mean literally in heat! My goodness! It was the first time for me seeing it happen right in front of my eyes. The male trying to mount the female and not only that, there were plenty other male cats wanting to mate with the same feline too! Geeez! The noise from all that horny moments were very scary. Hahahha! What an experience. I even got that on my camera! Going home was a big issue. I mean, St. John island would not be the same after this year. The houses there are gonna be torn down. Resorts and such are gonna be made. It is sad. I mean, why can't we leave just an island without a touch of urbanisation untouched? I hope the government or whoever is incharge of it, have that very sense of humanity to do something good. Like goofy Ummar said, SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT. I feel like stuffing the boy with some dickbread! Hahhahhhaha! I'm outta here. But I'm gonna leave you with pictures from St. John. Enjoy them folks! So Wrong Seems Right Why does a seemed to be wrong move, feels so right? Does it runs on pure adrenalin or the mind simply starts to play the infamous pranks? I have been feeling this brand of emotions the last few weeks. Never in my wildest of dreams, that I thought I would face it. I won't put on declaration of who what when or any details about this feelings whatsoever, but as far as I am concern, the word perfect and all the verbs/nouns/adjectives which describes the phrase "dream comes true" follows suit. It is fast becoming an issue which needs to be addressed sooner or later. It's hard, but insyallah, problems have their very own dose of solutions. I am very sure of it. I will get back and run the full story of how amazing my St. John island getaway was. Over 800 pictures were snapped, but of course I am only sharing the nice ones. Death & Christmas Wawaweeewa! It is already a Friday?! Geeez! Time flies! And by the time we know it, we would be celebrating the dawn of 2010 in just matter of a week. In fact, less. I can still recall my last year countdown get together with Nas & Lily. Just the three of us at Sentosa Beach. We pitched our tent and only got approached by the beach ranger to unpitch our tent in the middle of the night. Very very very what the hell I must say. And he was using this monotonous tone, "Excuse me sir, please remove your tent nowww." Hahahhahh! It was the butt of joke for the day. LOL! For this year, well, there isn't any concrete plans yet as to where I might find myself at. Maybe Sentosa one more time? Couple of friends asked me to hit The Arena with them but uhmmm, I ain't the club kinda person you know. Same goes to pub. I just don't belong in those kind of places. Call me kental, but yeahh. Maybe I was brought up well by mom and dad, who taught me that those kind of spots, brings trouble, on earth and also after death. That scares me alrite. Ouh on the topic of death, last night before I slept, I was thinking about it. What would it feel like being dead. I mean what is the whole process gonna feel like. Supposedly you are dieing in bed...you lay there and yeahh. My mind goes black actually when I tried to put myself, emotionally into a dieing man's shoe. Scares me. What awaits after death, is the true life. Goshhh. I'll pass about reminiscence of afterlife for now. Sheeessh! I'm gonna go pack my stuffs and then call it a night. Time Of The Essence There's a gazillion numbers of pictures that I have yet to upload into my PC. I have not even resize them. Or select the nice ones and deleted the defectives ones (ie. blurry, too dark/bright). Those are pretty much very time consuming and time is something I won't have much this week. I hope I can squeeze in some for this. Life has been interesting as of late. I mean there's a lot of questions that begs to be answered. But I think I prefer those answers to be kept under wraps for now. Simply love the ways things are right now. Seems to me that my dream is right smack there in front of me, but a forcefield of some sort is keeping me away. i guess I need time to decode my way to deactivate the field, grab my dream and make a run for it. Hectic Mode It has been a rather busy day yet again at work. An international speaker from Canada is here in Singapore to give a series of lectures. I can't wait actually. This is gonna be my maiden public talk. Not that I am the one giving the speech but pretty much I will be backstage with my fellow brothers in crime setting up everything. The others will only be like pointing fingers and act as if the whole show is theirs to steal. What can I say ehh? At the end of the day, people will know who does the real work and who just ACT like they are doing it. People have eyes and mind and ears to do their own intepretation of the event, in terms of who exactly run the show. Heh. I sorta miss kitty tonight. Nyehh. >.< Nemind. Things are just gonna be hectic in a couple of days. I'll be awesome by Monday. Then I will have all the time that I want to do anything I want. I need to plan my long leave I must say. Can't wait! Happy shalala Ya know, as I try typing out my entry right here, I pretty much do not know how to start. I mean, I wanna say that I feel awesome the past couple of days in a fashion where it full of gusto brilliance and emotions but I can't seem to find the words. Maybe the feelings surpasses those words huh? I don't know. But the basic feeling that I have right now is, unimaginable. I feel like I am having this dream where life is all about giving love to your special someone... And I can sense or see that special someone. The image used to be so vivid. Blurry grainy but uhmm it is perfectly clear right now. I don't wanna disclose any names right now cause, anything can happen actually. And nothing has taken place...yet. I'm just hoping that the next girl I share a kiss with, her lips would be same lips I feel as she or myself breathe our last breathe. I pray and I hope...every single day. But as for now, I am enjoying the seconds, minutes, hours that flew by. I've always wanted to choose to live life with smiles, no matter how everest the problems may be. It is one of the many principles of mine about life. Cause a smile can lead to a clearer mind. And a clearer mind allows to think in the most brightest of ways. Solutions will be snapped right at your fingertips. Trust me. Why do you think I survive a 3 year single life after a catastrophic of a 4 year highly dramatised relationship? Cause every fall is the beginning of a revival. Most of the time we are pretty much caught up in the why(s) things fail and not turn the way we expected. That should not be the case. We are all humans, we make mistakes and instead of whining why we make them...can we smile and accept the fact that we now know the solution to the problem? I make all this sound so easy right? Trust me, it isn't. It takes alot of self belief, faith in ALLAH SWT and prolly a speck of luck. Just for added assurance. Haha! I am pretty much done around here. Changi Night It really is an awesome thing to be sitting home on sucha lazy sunday don't you think? There is no rain and heat out there isn't as hot as it used to be. I love December. Except for the fact that it brings alot of rain which also means, going to the beach is like taking a big giant risk in life. Hahhahahha! I'm getting a lil bit over dramatic am i? Hee. I had an awesome saturday night with the gang. Initially Fahmy's plan was to go to Fisherman's Village, but it was already closed when we get there. Ouh, we reached Pasir Ris at 9+ I think. Or was it 10? I can't remember. But it was already pretty late, as 5 of us dilly dally our time at Jurong Point's Cavana. I was hungry and it was dinner for me! Else, I'll get cranky! Wayyyy cranky! Since that plan didn't happen, we simply roundabout changi, looking at planes landing and it was basically a drive around. I got happy ok seeing planes took off and landing. I have NEVER board a plane before in my entire life. NEVER. And it was only my 2nd time to airport. Kental right? I know. So someone please! Bring me jalan2 there? Thank you!! It was Changi Village soon after. We simply sat had some drinks while waiting for one more friend, Aidil, to join us. So thru the night, all 6 of us were basically talking laughing and there's plenty of personality within us. We have the journalist guy aka ummar, the singers nas and aidil, the rose among the thorns fiza and the photographers fahmy and myself. Awesome night. That's all I can say. And ouh! Bowling! It has been awhile since I last bowled. The last time was probably during my NS days. Back track, that was 2 almost 3 years ago! Yikes! First things first, I ain't good at aiming. Add to the fact that I gotta swing a heavy ball, I think I will pass. My twig-like arms are not made for bowling or anything of this sort of activity. Hehehhe! So when I bowled, guess what happen?? Now now, this isn't rocket science with algebraic equations ok. The ball, 90% of the time ended up in the drain! LOL! I told ya I ain't good. While waiting for my turn, I was busy snapping pictures. Now that is much more fun! I still have some more pictures to upload into my facebook account. I hope I have time soon. Heh. Ouh well, there's nothing left to report right now. Achievements Achievements. Such a word brings pressure don't you think? As I sit back and did some soul searching, I do not know what have I really achieved in life. As in really really achieve. Sure I graduate with a diploma and all but I am looking for something which means more than just being significant. I wanna be the best you see. In what? I still have no idea. Looking around me, people with achievements like owning a driving license, having a beautiful wife and kids, just being happy is the sort of unaccountable achievements that I am sorta pressuring myself to chase on. You can say that it is unnecessary for me to put myself into this zone, but I feel like I have to. Being complacent in my comfort zone, doesn't really bring me anything but routine results. Congrats Sylvia & Sezhairi! I am ecstatic thay Sylvia and Sezhairi is into the finals of the Singapore Idol! Not that I have anything against Tabitha, but I guess, the other two has that edge ya know. Like the majority of singaporeans can relate better to them. Y.O.D.A It has been a rather cool start stop rainy sunday. I am not complaining, because I am loving the stay home weekend. Why not right, since my saturday was a full day affair at work. There was a youth forum held at my place and at the end of the day, it was an awesome event. I love the fact there is so many youths who are on the right path and I honestl believe that they will be good role models for the ones that had gone astray... The boys were handsome and the ladies were immaculately gorgeous. And I asked myself, where did all the girls hide? Cause I don't see them out there. Hahahhaa! But then again, they are doing something much worthy for a better future. Say study, ibadah and much more. They probably ain't the type who goes to clubs, stay out late into the night and mix around freely with the other halves. And there bunch were more than just a good muslimin and muslimah. They have talents! Yeahhh talents! At the end of the day, they were required to do up a presentation on challenges the muslim youths are facing. Most of them were doing skits, singing and even the basic presentation were very much entertaining, especially the skits! The acts were really funny, the song that follows the tune of Jason Mraz "I'm Yours" with different lyrics...it sums up the day seeing everybody with smiles and laughter lit up the auditorium. Awesome awesome ambience. I hope this type of event will be held more, really. It is worth the effort put in by the volunteers and a couple of staffs. Kudos to all those who made the Youth Of Darul Arqam event aka Y.O.D.A a success. May the force be with you! Have a great sunday to all! Unrecommended Scene I had another round of night shoot, this time round at Vivo City. It was drizzling at first, but lucky enough the drizzle stopped after we were done with our maghrib. I thought Vivo outdoor park can serve us with nice views at night, but Junaidi and I were pretty much restricted to landscape shots. Unless you are planning to take on the sunset shots, Vivo is certainly not a happening place especially at night. There's really nothing much to the day apart from my night shoot. Same old thing at work, so yeahh. Story of my life eh. I think I should save more money and go get married. So I can have something to come home to. Hhaha! Okay I am feeling sleepy all of a sudden. Laughs & Work Work has been alil sort of a haywire mode. Especially with all the moving around, making way for the renovation. It is a very tedious affair I must say, as we have limited to pack our stuffs and at the same time, meet the dateline of our own work. It is not fun ok. Especially when my current temporary place feels like I am right smack in the ice water of Alaska. The remote control on the aircon indicates, 21C, but I think it is NEGATIVE 21C! Hahahhahaha! BUT, I would rather stay in there rather than being somewhere else. There at the least I have my close pals around and we could at the very least laugh and cracked jokes when work is getting dull. That makes time ticked by in a jiffy. Tried and tested ok. Heh. Very rare are the days when time moves slowwww. Those days are basically days when friends aren't around. So basically, I am at work, for friends. Else, i might not be this much motivated to come to work ok. I wonder how about others feel eh. Those people whom unknowingly have stepped on others to do something and find themselves ignored by just about everyone. That is real sad...but I believe, there are time to be a better person. Just change your ways alrite. Insyallah. I was out after work just now around Sim Lim area, and a friend brought me to this place selling vadeh. DAYYYMMMNNNN, the vadeh was awwwwwesomeee!! I love it ok. Initially I bought ONE, but ended up buying another TWO more. And down it with teh halia, fuh! HAPPPENING I tell you. That stretch of road, I was being told that there is plenty of food around. So it is a must walk thru for me and my bandits of food & photo enthusiasts! More vadeh please! Woooots!
