First Round Success

A1 Like a rose


Thanks to this song, I GOT THIS......




As I walked into the audition room, standing in front of the producers, with the white lights glaring in my face, and I looked up and saw the looks on their faces, my stomach churned. Introduced myself, and with a deep breathe, off I went! When singing, my mind was at a complete daze and everything just went on auto pilot. I forgot one of my lines!! Can you believe that?! Suddenly everything just went zonked! Geez. After that I was brought to a holding area where I saw Nas sitting down, awaiting his result too. Two of the friends I made, Crystal and Faziela(who is very VERY adorable), didn't make it. I was having the mindset of not being able to make it, BUT as they called out my number, I was stoked!! Damn!!!

I can't believe I made it pass the FIRST round. And now I am going to audition in the 2nd round, which will be at the marina bay floating platform!! Good gracious! All of this is simply soooo surreal for me.....really! It was somehow a bittersweet moment actually. As I came down the escalator, medias were waiting with tape recorders, cameras and such. And the lady asked, did u made it?? Shyly, I pulled out my ticket! Hehehehhehehe!! All the talking and interviewing, is sucha new experience for me. Whatever questions that was thrown at me, I tried my best to answer with grace. First was the TODAY paper, and then the other one was I can't remember who. That was the sweet moment. But the bitter one was when I was waiting for Nas, to come out....and when he did, I was waiting for him to pull out his ticket, BUT he didn't make the cut. Can you imagine my disappointment. Sheesshh. I joined because of this boy, just to keep him company in this competition but he ended up not making it. Now I am left on my own. Goshhhh!

Well, whatever it is, I am taking one step closer to achieving my dream, of singing to a live crowd. I don't have plans to do solo actually, cause I am more to a band kind of person. Yeahhhh. But anyways, baby steps this one is. I've made unaccountable number of frieds. Caleb, Alexa Elizabeth Lee, Crystal, Faziela, Bob, Amos, Gary and loadsa others who I didn't have time to get their names. It's worth the penny and energy spent for this one. Totally an invaluable experience!
