Tong Seng, Durian, Barista; ACTION!

I did NOT go wasting on my Saturday night. It was a lively outing by my standards who is the best person in the world to spend the weekend with (beside your other half) other than your best friend of 11 and soon to be 12 donkey years! My goodness. Andi and myself. Look how far we've come. From going to school in short pants at noon (back then secondary school is still doing two sessions), to us now going to get married. At least HE is, I need to get myself a girlfriend FIRST if I wanna yakkety-yak about marriage. Haha! It's been an amazing decade.

The last time I saw the boy, was during chalet I think. Eh no no! It was last week, when Lily and myself were going to watch Twilight*insert Edward Cullen's face here*, that we bumped into Shaikhah and Andi while having our at KFC. So yeah, it was last week but the last time Andi and myself hung out was, a month ago. Seems like an eternity has passed. Hmmm. Better make the most of the time now before next year's May when Andi gets married, cause obviously, to let the wifey stay home and him going out with us till late is kinda not good right. If they have like 6 children, how?! Hahaha!! *Chase baby bonus!!*

As per usual, we don't make plans until the bloody train has entered the tunnel. For all I know, 99% of the outing we had has all started off with foood. Ahuh. A hungry man is a very pathetic grumpy man ok. Master that ladies and trust me, you'll be absolutely fine in your future dates if you start off with food. Hehehe!!

No fast food, no no to places with service charge. What we need is real food. Real CHEAP and filling food. Where else than Tong Seng downtown at Bugis baby! I certainly miss the whole kecoh affair of the coffeeshop. From the aunty shouting from across the street asking people to eat, to immediate service with a smile, to hot hearty serving of food, to cars buses bikes honking as people dashed across the streets. It's just one of those atmosphere that is dying in Singapore. Andi had the trademark chicken rice, mine was lor me, and we had two sides which was fried wanton and char kuey. Andi being his always wrong place wrong food scenario kept trying to recall fried wanton which was served with the black sauce. It was at Far East luh bro, not Bugis! Sha, you better do something with his memory eh. He might forget where he left one of your children while running errands in future!! Kekekee!!

The tummy is filled, we went window shopping for a good hour which resulted in Andi fighting against his temptations to get two DVDs instead of one and obviously he gets one, The Dark Knight. I have my personal DVD collection of Aeon Flux and Stardust already so most probably next in line would be Iron Man. We'll see how that goes. Andi ended up leaving Bugis with a plastic bag containing a DVD and me? Left Bugis with a Famous Amos cookie bag. Lalala cookies make AJ smiley smiley!

But that's not all. Do you know what else did we left Bugis with??!! Somemore fooodd! FRUIT to be exact. I don't know where this is coming from but yeah, we bought durians. Just a packet of it to satisfy a craving. Hehehe! We 133-ed down to City Hall and luckily the journey was a quickie cause the smell of durians is starting to fill up the bus! Woweee!! I still can't figure out what issit about durian is smelly?! Pfftttt!!

Marina Square it was and I went to have a chitchat with my favourite barista in the universe. Hehe! She was looking very radiant yesterday. In fact everyday she is. Heh. 2 for the price of 1. Yeay! Thank you babygirl, you're sucha sweetheart ok! Hee. Try not to do a 6 days per week shift cause someone here is obviously missing talking to you. *attempts a puppy eyes look*

I brought Andi to a spot where there's minimal people walking around and we feasted on our durians and drinks and played a very familiar game with an unknown number which beeped Andi, wanting to get to know him. Aite so this game, is a game both of us had longggggg time ago mastered. Back during poly days. Geez, like 5 6 years ago already?! *Gasp*

Ya know like those text messages you suddenly received like "Hi can I get to know you?" and then it will lead to replies such as "Your friend passed me your number but I can't tell who". Get the scenario? I mean obviously you MUST have had one of these in life before. If not, I am very sure you are a very sympathetic person you know that? Hahahaa!! We gave replies and one sounded like this "Why you want to be my friend?". Hahahahh!!! Gawddd!! I tried calling using my "public" number and no answer. So it was already VERY obvious that this was a prank luh. Like c'mon, can sms but can't answer? Hehehe! And then there was plenty of smiley faces which is VERY disturbing. Fast forward...it was Andi's fiance, Shaikhah, after all. Sha!! We knew it was you from the start!! You gave it away when you use good english word like "modest". Hahahahahha!!

Both of us were like very mischieviously happy to get to play this kinda prank 'cause seriously, it was an awfully lonnng time since we got this. And going along with it just brought us to where we started dating, back in poly days. Oh my gawd, I'm sounding as if I am a thousand years old. Tsk!!

It was before midnight that we decided to call it a day. Although the night was still young but uhhm, Andi had a long day at work yesterday and some activities in the morning and the next day he had to go somewhere too. So rest time for the fella is getting shortened as the minutes ticked by. I'm just glad we had the chance to do this. Too bad that Nas and Ummar wasn't around.

Another saturday night to be remembered for all the right reasons and I hope each and every single one of you doesn't end up ending the weekends with an upside down smiley face ok. Life is simply just too short, so whatever setbacks you face, do it with a smile. The problem will be solved easily if you calmly face it. Trust me on this one. GOD doesn't give us problems that we can't solve. I'll see you all soon. Till then, enjoy Sundees darlings!! I'll leave you with snappies from last night. You know I love you...
