Roads A Dangerous Playground  Hey yo yo ebery single one of YOU! Huhu! Yes helluuuuuoooo! How's Thursday coming along for you huh? Good? Well, I don't see the need/reason that Thursday would turn out bad aye. Weekend's coming. Chill out, take a deep breath and let go all facts or worries that's pulling you down ok. Cheers. My Thursday went by awesome. Pretty much eventful I must say during the 1 o'clock hour. When I was out during lunchtime making that 15 minutes walk to Bugis Juntion, I encountered a couple of incidents which disturbed me in one way or another. I'll get into then, in abit. Apart from that 1 hour break, things in the office is a song-filled environment, smiley face people everywhere and the most important thing is...time took a speed express to 5pm. Ahuh. The day went by just like that. So fast so unnoticable that I ALWAYS miss the fact that 520pm is going home time. Sheessh. Alrite here's the main bloggin issue. As mentioned above, I went to Bugis Junction during lunch and to take a look at the LG Viewty which I'm gonna get real soon. Did my survey, bought Old Chang Kee for lunch (as I wasn't anywhere near starving), saw 2 super gorgeous malay ladies and went back to office. As I was taking my usual long stroll back to office, enjoying the uber cooling weather of Singapore during lunch hour (seldom during the afternoon time that we get temperature measuring 27 degrees ok), I saw a kid. A kid most prolly around the age of 9(?). He was small in size and carrying this HUGE HUGE bag. Didn't the parents help them pack according to timetable? Hmmpfff! Anyway, that's not the main subject by all means. He alighted from his school van, the driver then drove off and the kid IMMEDIATELY cross the road la!! It's a small one-lane one-way road. Kinda like a slip road from the main road. So yeah he RUN across and a taxi turned in! The boy was lucky that the cabbie was at a speed of prolly well below the turning speed and stopped right smack THERE in front of the boy. Anndd he continued to run. Geeez. He's still young so I'm not putting the weight of the blame on him. You know how young boys are very much reckless in their own nature right? But what I'm contemplating in mind was, where's the guardian/parent? It's a worrying trend I must say, 'cos I do see more and more super young boys and girls go home on their own after alighting from their transport or worst, walking home from school. Easy prey for humans with sick paedophile issues. Heh. Wake up parents!! Still on the issue of the crossing of roads, another guy, an adult this time round. He got his earphones plugged into his ears, enjoying his dosage of music and he started crossing. The traffic was at a standstill because 2 seconds ago, the green man was blinking. And this guy prolly ASSUME that the green man JUST started blinking and starts crossing. When he put his foot on the road, RED man active! Hoho he might be enjoying the comfort of the hospital bed than enjoying his music if the a cabbie horned at him. Sheessh! Whassup man. Didn't these people read the papers or something? Road accidents on the rise! Hah.  Look at this SUV. What you see in picture isn't the same as in motion. This was at a traffic light. The driver was SPEEDING trying to beat the amber light but realised he can't make it and screeched to halt!! Mind you, the stopping line was wayyy behind! And that line you see that he stopped on, was the pedestrian crossing. Ouh boy, the road seems to be like a death trap nowadays. Unsafe and dangerous should I say? Heh. I've spoken my piece. I hope drivers and also pedestrians practise safety on the roads okok. Like seriously, don't take what has not happen to you for granted aite. *smile*  Alrite...on a happier note, I would love to wish my baby sister a very VERY SUPER SWEET 18th BIRTHDAY! Happy birthday darling love! You're my one and only brat I, at the same time hate and love. I still can't figure out why but happy birthday sis! Go become a crazee student for your Biomedical diploma in poly ok. And I'm still waiting for the day she gets a B, cos all the while since year 1 she's ace-ing her paper with As!!! How?! I simply have no idea! That's it that's a wrap. I need to go have dinner, get my shower and enjoy Thursday's shot movie before I hit the sack.
